The 'When Pigs Fly' video looks useful, I spent about an hour last weekend trying to do that achievement without any success.

If it helps, we saved our game just after we set everything up. All you have to do is sit on the pig, one of us breaks the fence in front of him, and he falls down the hole.
We can do it tonight if you want.

I've just managed to get the achievement for the 'Nether Portal'.

Thanks for all your help after Toasty went off. You should see the castle now.. I've done a lot more to it, including dig a moat around it. I'll try and post some pics up later.
If you need any help with mining and stuff, give us a shout.
I found this video on Youtube, it's how to build a mob spawner trap. The video is good and judging by what this guy has built he must have spent along time and had a bit of help to build his world.
I'm going to have a go at building something similar.

I think I got the mob spawner trap sorted. I could do with some help sorting out a wheat harvester and farming sugar cane.

That guys at the top of the minecraft leaderboards i noticed with maxed out 'scores' of 65535 on everything. As are various versions of that name. Kinda weird. Cool vid tho. That mob spawner thing is neat. I've yet to put it on easy mode with the nasty critters. I've built myself a nether portal and the noises from that alone give me the heebie jeebies! lol Knew I shouldn't have built it right by my house!
