Another newbie here

Hi, came across this place via the xbox live forum, I was looking at threads for mature gamers at the time, so thought i'd join and check it out. I'd say i'm an average player, depending on the game.

I only started playing online this time last year, Modern Warfare was what I got hooked on, and so that and Black Ops have been THE main games i've played online. But starting to venture out a bit with Homefront and Crysis and FIFA 11. Loving the controlling a single player thing. Less stressful.

Although, as I play alone on FIFA, I'm often in games where people who didn't get the position they wanted act as though they're a striker anyway - even goalkeepers! (that or they're just idiots out to ruin peoples fun) - and that's really annoying.

Homefront (when it works)
Black Ops (COD4,5,6)
FIFA 11, (still have FIFA 10 too)
Forza 3
Topspin 3 (might get Topspin 4 in time)

The site is only a couple of weeks old, and started out as a method of recruiting players for our FIFA Pro Club, but is expanding, so we'll look at having other game sessions as well, but FIFA seems to be dominating at the mo.

As far as positions go, we tend to rotate, as a couple of us have got over 100 goals now, so we've dropped into midfield to let others have a go.

We won our 4th cup last night, and had some good results, so are definitely improving.

A regular racing night was another suggestion I put forward, seeing as how a lot of people have Forza 3, F1 2010, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit etc. Shift 2 Unleashed is looking pretty good too.

how often do you guys play FIFA, what players are you needing at the moment? If any like

We play FIFA most nights, last night we won 2 more cups. I tend to play in goal at the mo, and we have about 3 other regular players.

What's your preferred position? We normally change the formation to suit the number of people playing.

I tend to do best on the RW really, in that position i think my player has a rating of 88. RF position is something like 83, can't remember now. I generally set up more goals than i score. But I do get the odd goal from time to time when playing with people who play properly anyways.

I'm no pro or owt tho, i don't know all the fancy moves, but i'm a team player and unselfish. So if you're a really serious team then I'm probably not someone you want in. I just want good games with cool, friendly people.

So flippin sick of playing with randoms who refuse to pass or simply want to dick about. I am with another community who kind of have a team but people are hardly on it anymore and I'd like to play FIFA more regularly which is why i'm looking around again.

We just have a laugh and don't take ourselves seriously. We do play to win, bit it's more about having a laugh.

I used to play RW/RM, so if that's where you prefer playing, by all means go for it. I'm much more enjoying playing in goal at the mo, got my GK up to 86 last night

I think we knocked FIFA on the head at 0200 this morning, having played from 2100.

Oh, and we do all pass....unlike some idiot we were playing against last night. I sent him a message saying "Is your A button broken?", to which he replied "WTF?" I think he passed twice in the whole game.


Ping us a transfer request later. I'll be on from 2100 tonight and I'm sure we'll be playing Clubs into the early hours again.

Chakkerz, this is a great team to join if you enjoy team play & an easy team to fit in with... Even the AI scored in our Final the other night & we do love an 'assister'. We even show respect to our opponents, although that is to stop them quitting.

On another point, I can't believe I've missed another cup triumph... This is FIFA 11 all over again !!!

Definitely up for playing quite regularly as need a break from games like COD & BF. They just wind me up something chronic lol. Catch you guys soon.
